Exploring Mindfulness

About this Seminar

Through presentation and guided practices this session will provide participants with:

  • An introduction to mindfulness and how it can positively influence our experiences both at home and work
  • An opportunity to learn and experience various guided meditation practices
  • Ways we can use mindfulness to help navigate challenging and stressful times
  • Resources and information that can help establish and sustain a personal mindfulness practice

About Maureen Barry

Maureen Barry MSW, RSW has been a therapist, coach and trainer for over 30 years. Her approach uses mindfulness – based strategies to support those who are experiencing personal and workplace stress, and significant life transitions. She is a recognized Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher, and has been offering the 8 week MBSR course since 2013.

Maureen has practiced mindfulness meditation for the last number of years, and believes that it can be a significant help in building resilience and navigating the stress that naturally emerges in our personal and professional lives.

Maureen offers workshops on mindfulness for the general public, and for the workplace. She has a special interest in facilitating sessions for those in challenging roles.
